w/ The Sassy Brown Band

Gip's Place is a legendary juke joint in Alabama I have had the pleasure of playing several times in my career and darkening it's door with the powerhouse band that is the Sassy Brown Band is an honor and a hell of a good time.

Behind the Music

For nearly two decades Andrew Brasfield has wowed audiences with his unique brand of harmonica playing and performance style. Joe Broadhead and Robby Catlin took a chance on a 19 year old, green harp player and The Cat's Mojo was a regular at The Back Alley on historic Cobb Lane in Birmingham. Since then he has been sitting in and performing with some of the best musicians in the area.

Andrew is a founding member of Motel Ice Machine, was a finalist in the 2012 International Blues Challenge with the Lefty Collins Band. He has earned back to back spots to the International Blues Challenge with The Sassy Brown Band in 2017 & 2018, representing the Shoals and The Music Preservation Society. He has appeared in the CW's Originals television show, was a record six-time guest on BMR's Southbound Radio Program with the Brother's Seale, and has sat in with George Griffin & The Firebirds, Josh Brown, The Edmunds Butler Band, and volunteered with the Alabama Blues Project.
